Hand-carved 24k Gold Gilded, Chenrezig Statue on Throne
Four-armed Chenrezig, also famously known as (Avalokiteshvara) is highly regarded as the Buddha of compassion. His four arms represent loving-kindness, joy, equanimity, and compassion. This magnificent Statue of Chenrezig was hand-carved in our studio by our talented artists; our artists are modern descendants of century-old sacred Buddhist sacred deities craft masters. Sculpting this particular statue took several months to complete as it required a tremendous amount of attention to detail to carve and design the figure's complex yet beautiful intricate features. The Chenrezig is adorned with precious gemstones from head to toe, also on the Throne. He is seen seated on a splendidly carved Lotus seat with a calm expression, and beautifully gold-gilded flying silk is carved from his shoulder to his arm while his two hands are folded praying posture. His other hands hold rosary beads and pristine lotus, demonstrating his promise to manifest in various ways to benefit us indefinitely, much like the steady momentum of counting prayer beads. The face of the statue is the most delicate and heavily gold-plated portion of the figure.
Chenrezig (Avalokiteshvara) is a Boddhisattva deity in Buddhism embodying and inspiring practitioners to practice generosity, morality, patience, perseverance, meditation, and wisdom in order to become truly beautiful from within. In times of challenge and difficulty, he listens to the prayers of all sentient beings. Chenrezig vows never to rest until he has helped free all sentient beings from samsara, but his task is daunting despite his best efforts. To serve his promise, he commonly takes the form of eleven heads and a thousand arms.
His mantra can inspire us to practice true inner transformation of our negative qualities into selfless motivation to serve others through prayers, offerings, and meditations.
