Traditional Seated Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva Statue
Seated in the "Chakravartin" posture, Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva is depicted with a multitude of jewels and a resplendent crown. He's seated with his right knee folded in half and his left knee on the floor. The right arm is stretched to the level, and the left is in the vitarka mudra. Indeed, such statues are rare in Nepal, as we have purely hand carved this statue, using the tradition sculpting technique of the Kathmandu valley. This Avalokitesvara is adorned in the Nirmanakaya-crown, oversized flower earrings, and a variety of jewels and accessories, all reflecting Buddhism.
