Traditionally Hand-Carved Gold Gilded Green Tara Bodhisattva Statue
This exquisitely carved Green Tara bodhisattva statue makes use of delicately created traditional Himalayan themes and decorations. Two Utpala blossoms grow beside each of the god's shoulders while the deity sits on a moon-disc lotus throne. She is depicted with a serene and compassionate appearance. She performs the "Varada Mudra," signifying her compassion with her left hand. Precious jewels like turquoise are artistically placed to further the beauty of the statue.

Tara is the savior, the personification of compassion, the one who reaches out and freely replies to everyone who is suffering. Tara is courageous and generous to a fault. Green Tara and White Tara are her most popular incarnations, though she occasionally appears as Red Tara in Dakini form. "Om tare tuttare ture svaha," says Green Tara. White Tara's mantra is "om tare tuttare ture mama ayu Punya jnana pushtim kuru svaha," which means "om tare tuttare ture mama ayu Punya jnana pushtim kuru svaha."
