Traditionally Hand Carved 4 Armed Avalokiteshvara Statue
This four-armed Avalokiteshvara statue was carved by hand and elegantly painted with genuine 24k gold. Since the artist had to work in detail on the design of robs, jewels, and many other accessories, it took more than a month to complete this sculpture. This is the exquisite art of Kathmandu valley artists, whose work is incredibly valuable. Chenrezig is depicted with a peaceful and serene expression atop a moon disc lotus seat. Gold and turquoise are used to embellish the crown. A beautifully adorned crystal rosary is held in the upper right hand while the lotus flower is held in the upper left hand. Similarly, the wish-fulfilling jewel is carried by both the lower hand. A practitioner like you will get the most favorable energies from the traditionally made statue.

Chenrezig epitomizes the bodhisattva's determination to delay attaining Buddhahood until he has assisted every sentient being on Earth in achieving freedom from pain and the cycle of death and rebirth. His name has been translated as "the lord who observes in all directions." The practice of Chenrezig/Avalokiteshvara is encouraged to develop a calm and compassionate heart. Compassion is the root foundation for excelling in the Buddhist path. He listens to the prayers of all sentient beings in times of challenge and difficulty.
