This beautiful small carving of the Shakyamuni Buddha statue is made up of copper, Pure 24K Gold, and embedded with precious corals. He is seated on a lotus seat in a meditation posture. His right hand is in Abhaya Mudra, and his left-hand rests on his lap, holding a begging bowl.
Shakyamuni Buddha is popularly known as the Buddha (also known as Siddhattha Gotama or Siddhārtha Gautama). He is regarded as the founder of the world religion of Buddhism and revered by most Buddhist schools as a savior. His goal was to free all people from suffering, and his awakening was the realization of effective means for teaching everybody the path to awakening.
