24k Gold Gilded Golden Gautam Buddha Statue of Nepal
In the traditional Himalayan Art of Nepal, we hand-carved the Gautam Buddha Golden Statue seated in Meditation. The statue's body is made of pure copper and is gilded with 24k genuine gold. Seated cross-legged on a lotus moon disc with a calm and peaceful expression, the deity's right hand is slightly touching the ground, representing the earth goddess's calling to witness the moment of enlightenment. The statue's left hand is seen holding an alms bowl above the lap, representing the 49 pieces of rice he received during his meditation before enlightenment. We spent months carving intricate design patterns into the statue to give it the most amount of detail.

Siddhartha Gautama was born as the crown prince of the mighty Shakya Kingdom and nurtured to be a king in line with his royal father's aspirations. However, when he was around 29 years old, he learned about people's tremendous pain in life. He abandoned his palace life and gave up his magnificent robes and gold to uncover the reasons for this anguish and the methods to alleviate it. After nearly six years of study, self-deprivation, and severe concentration, he achieved his aim. He had attained enlightenment (a Buddha). He claimed to have then proceeded to a deer park in Sarnath (Benares), India, on the outskirts of Varanasi.
