Traditionally Hand Carved Buddha Shakyamuni Sculpture
The traditional Buddha Shakyamuni sculpture is expertly created in our studio and features complex Nepali themes. Copper-based Shakyamuni Buddha's body is gilded in 24K gold and has a beautiful sheen. The Buddha is depicted seated on a moon disc lotus with an alms bowl on his left lap with a serene appearance. He performs the 'Bhumisaprsa Mudra,' indicating the moment Buddha attained enlightenment claiming the earth as his witness.

Shakyamuni Siddhartha Gautama was Buddha's original name. Only when he became the Buddha was he given the name Shakyamuni. Buddha means "awakened one" in Sanskrit. In his left hand, he carries an alms bowl filled with three priceless nectars, signifying his victory over the three demons of uncontrollable death, polluted aggregates, and delusion.
