Copper Statue of Padmasambhava Guru Rinpoche
We are the modern heirs of a century-old Buddhist Himalayan art form of sculpting Padmasambhava Guru Rinpoche statues. We sculpted this beautifully hand-carved Copper statue in our studio using a copper body and placed precious gems in various parts of the body. The statue depicts the deity sitting upon a moon disc, holding a vajra with his right hand while he holds a skull cup with the other hand. A long tantric staff resting on his shoulder. You can use this figurine for different Buddhist Rituals and meditational practices.
Size: 8.6"/22cm (Height) x 5.5"/14cm (Base)
Weight: 1.16 kg
Material: Oxidized Copper Body
For most Himalayan Buddhists, Guru Rinpoche is the second Buddha, the Buddha of all forms and teachings of enlightenment, focusing on the tantras. Tantra teaches us to initially see our instructors as Guru Rinpoche, just as the Great Way leads us to see our enlightened nature and name it buddha-nature. Then we view everything as Guru Rinpoche, down to the atoms of our bodies, all beings equally, and every scrap of every blade of grass, every grain of sand. Finally, it is Guru Rinpoche who we realize when we recognize our natural, timeless awareness.
