Amitayus Is Long Life Buddha, Bodhisattva Statue
Amitayus Statue represents the Buddha of Long Life, and the vase he holds in his lap, which contains amrita, the nectar of immortality, is a sign of longevity. Amitayus is a manifestation of Amitabha; a buddha claimed to transport his devotees to his Pure Land after death. They are freed from the cycle of samsara and achieve enlightenment.
A buddha is said to have three bodies in the Mahayana Buddhist tradition: a form body (nirmanakaya), an apparitional body (sambhogakaya), and an ultimate truth body (sambhogakaya) (dharmakaya). Amitayus and Amitabha have worshipped in Tibet as well as East Asia. For the sake of a practitioner's long life, an image of Amitayus is frequently commissioned in Tibetan Buddhist culture.
