Statue of Guru Rinpoche | Tibetan Guru Padmasambhava

SKU: GRB1096

Hand-carved Buddhist Statue of Guru Rinpoche

We are a group of artists who created this magnificent statue of Guru Rinpoche in Nepal utilizing traditional Himalayan techniques. For generations, we have carved sacred Buddhist sculptures. Guru Padmasambhava is depicted in this statue in a royal posture with a semi-wrathful expression. He has a vajra (Tibetan - Dorje) in his left hand, a skull vase in his right, and a trident on his right shoulder.

This one-of-a-kind work of art can be incorporated into various activities, including regular meditation or yoga sessions and Buddhist rituals.

For most Himalayan Buddhists, Guru Rinpoche is the second Buddha, the Buddha of all forms and teachings of enlightenment, focusing on the tantras. Tantra teaches us to initially see our instructors as Guru Rinpoche, just as the Great Way leads us to see our enlightened nature and name it buddha-nature. Then we view everything as Guru Rinpoche, down to the atoms of our bodies, all beings equally, and every scrap of every blade of grass, every grain of sand. Finally, it is Guru Rinpoche who we realize when we recognize our natural, timeless awareness.
