Behind the Scene of Statue Making Process!

The initial phase in statue creation, where the mold is crafted from wax.

Once the mold dries, the wax is melted away and replaced with a copper alloy, providing the statue with a sturdy structure.

After forming the metal structure, artists meticulously hand-carve intricate details into the statue.

A mixture of gold and mercury is applied to the statue, followed by fire gilding to eliminate the mercury, leaving the statue with a refined gold finish.

In the final step, artists masterfully paint the statue's face and adorn the sculpture with gemstones.
Auspicious Consecration and Blessing
In the Buddhist Tradition of religious statues, the final step involves a ritual consecration to invite the deity into the statue by filling the statue's hollow body with auspicious mantra rolls and having it blessed by a Monk/Lamala.
