Handmade Amitabha Buddha Meditation Statue | Symbol of Wisdom and Spiritual Peace
This Handmade Amitabha Buddha Meditation Statue measures 7.5”/19cm in height with a 5.1”/13cm base and weighs 0.98 kg. Handcrafted in Nepal from an oxidized copper body, the sculpture features a naturally darkened finish that enhances the contours and hand-worked details while giving the surface a rich, understated character. The refined oxidation and precise metal craftsmanship reflect the skill of Nepalese artisans and the enduring traditions of Himalayan Buddhist sculpture. Spiritually, the figure is associated with infinite light, compassion, meditative awareness, and the aspiration for rebirth in the Pure Land, making this piece meaningful for Buddhist altars, meditation spaces, Dharma centers, or sacred collections.
This Amitabha Buddha is depicted seated in the full vajra posture upon a richly decorated lotus throne, with a serene expression, gently lowered eyes, elongated earlobes, and tightly curled hair rising into an ushnisha. His face is calm and symmetrical, conveying a peaceful meditative presence. Both hands rest together in the lap in dhyana mudra, holding an alms bowl at the center, representing his contemplative nature and connection with Pure Land practice. He wears traditional monastic robes draped naturally across the body, with one shoulder exposed and the other covered by the detailed robe. The robe is richly engraved with scrolling and floral patterns, while fine borders decorate the edges and folds of the fabric. The lotus base beneath him features multiple layers of carefully shaped petals, engraved ornamental bands, and detailed floral designs, providing an elevated sacred seat. The finely modeled facial features, precisely formed hands, engraved robe patterns, detailed lotus petals, and carefully finished surface work demonstrate the refined craftsmanship of traditional Himalayan Buddhist sculpture.
