The Buddha is depicted in this statue serenely seated on a moon disc lotus, with an alms bowl on his lap and his hands in the correct posture of a "Dhyan Mudra," which is a signature hand gesture of Amitabha Buddha. The statue is full of intricate details, from the folds of his robe to the delicate pattern of his hair. The serene facial expression of the Medicine Buddha is beautifully highlighted with acrylic paints.
