Description

Amogasiddhi Oxidized Statue: The Unwavering Light of Fearlessness

This Amogasiddhi Oxidized Statue measures 6 inches (15 cm) in height, rests upon a 4-inch (10 cm) base, and weighs 0.65 kg. Crafted from an oxidized copper body, the sculpture has a richly darkened finish that creates contrast across the Buddha’s face, closely arranged hair curls, monastic robe, hands, and layered lotus pedestal. The warm brown surface allows the sculpted robe folds and decorative petal patterns to stand out with quiet depth. Though compact in scale, the figure carries a composed presence suited to a small Buddhist altar, desktop shrine, meditation corner, or collection of sacred Buddhist art.

Amogasiddhi is one of the Five Dhyani Buddhas and represents the wisdom of fearless accomplishment. He is seated in meditation upon a lotus throne, a symbol of purity and the awakened mind rising beyond confusion. His left hand rests in his lap in Dhyana Mudra, expressing meditative concentration, while his right hand is raised in Abhaya Mudra, the gesture of protection, assurance, and freedom from fear. This open palm signifies the courage to overcome anxiety, doubt, jealousy, and inner obstacles. In Buddhist tradition, Amogasiddhi transforms jealousy into all-accomplishing wisdom, the ability to act with clarity, compassion, and benefit for others. His serene expression and upright posture therefore offer a reminder to meet difficulties with confidence and steady awareness.
