Traditionally Hand Crafted The Chenrezig Avalokiteshvara Statue
This Avalokiteshvara Statue was traditionally hand-carved in our studio in Nepal by the artists that have perfected the sculpting method. Also known as Avalokitesvara, "One who looks with unwavering eyes," is the most revered of all Bodhisattva. The figure was molded using a copper body, gilded with 24k genuine gold and highlighted with a coating of acrylic paint. The deity is depicted seated upon a moon disc lotus with a serene expression. The two front arms in a namaste gesture holds the wish-fulfilling gem, while the two back arms hold a crystal rosary and a lotus flower in each hand. With intricate design patterns around the statue, it took the artist months to construct this statue of Chenrezig Avalokiteshvara.
This Avalokiteshvara statue will be a tremendous gift from Nepal to a practitioner like you and will aid you in your everyday meditational practices.

Chenrezig epitomizes the bodhisattva's determination to delay attaining Buddhahood until he has assisted every sentient being on Earth in achieving freedom from pain and the cycle of death and rebirth. His name has been translated as "the lord who observes in all directions." The practice of Chenrezig/Avalokiteshvara is encouraged to develop a calm and compassionate heart. Compassion is the root foundation for excelling in the Buddhist path. He listens to the prayers of all sentient beings in times of challenge and difficulty.
