Black Dzambhala Copper Statue | Traditional Buddhist Deity of Abundance and Generosity

Black Dzambhala Copper Statue measures 22.4”/57cm in height with a 14.8”/37.5cm base and weighs 10.13 kg. Handcrafted in Nepal by skilled artisans, the sculpture features a copper body enhanced with gold and acrylic painting and carefully handcarved gemstones. The surface is carved with deeply engraved carvings that produce a magnificent 3D-like effect, giving greater depth and definition to the robes, ornaments, jewelry, and decorative elements. The intricate carving work is complemented by refined painted details and gemstone embellishments, creating a distinctive balance of texture, color, and dimension. The combination of detailed engraving, traditional copper craftsmanship, and hand-applied finishing reflects the precision and dedication of Nepalese artisans.

Black Dzambhala is traditionally depicted in a powerful dark form, representing the forceful removal of obstacles to prosperity and the transformation of attachment into generosity. He is commonly shown with a strong, commanding body and a wrathful expression, seated in a royal posture. His right hand holds a citron fruit, symbolizing abundance and the results of virtuous actions, while his left hand holds a mongoose that releases precious jewels, representing generosity and the unobstructed flow of wealth. Richly adorned with a jeweled crown, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and elaborate garments, he embodies the abundance associated with enlightened activity. His dark complexion emphasizes his powerful and protective aspect, while his overall form represents the overcoming of financial and material obstacles and the cultivation of generosity for beneficial purposes.

While his appearance is wrathful, it signifies his fierce compassion in subduing negative influences and generating favorable conditions for spiritual and material well-being.
