Black Manjushri is a rare and powerful wrathful manifestation of Manjushri in Vajrayana Buddhism, embodying fierce wisdom that destroys ignorance, mental obscurations, fear, and negative forces. Unlike the peaceful golden or orange forms of Manjushri, this dark manifestation represents the transformative power of enlightened wisdom in its wrathful aspect, actively cutting through illusion and spiritual obstacles. He is often depicted with a wrathful expression, surrounded by flames of wisdom, holding a flaming sword that severs delusion and ignorance at their root. Black Manjushri is especially associated with powerful healing, protection, purification, and the removal of inner and outer negativity, guiding practitioners toward clarity, insight, and ultimate awakening through fearless compassion and transcendent wisdom.
