Chenrezig, also known as Avalokiteshvara in Sanskrit, is the Bodhisattva of Compassion, revered across Tibetan Buddhism as the embodiment of the compassionate nature of all Buddhas. His name means "The One Who Looks with Unwavering Eye," reflecting his vow to hear all beings' cries and assist them on the path to liberation. Believed to manifest in countless forms to aid sentient beings, Chenrezig is primarily known for his thousand-armed form, symbolizing his boundless capacity to help.
