24k Gold Gilded Bodhisattva Chenrezig Statue, Indoor Figure
We are Kathmandu Valley artists who sculpted this beautiful Bodhisattva Chenrezig statue in traditional Himalayan art. Nepal has been well known worldwide for sculpting Buddhism deities for centuries, and we have been sculpting sacred deities for generations in our studio in Kathmandu, Nepal. We have depicted a deity sitting atop a moon disc lotus seat with a peaceful expression. A beautifully adorned crystal rosary and lotus are held in the upper right hand and upper left hand, respectively. We have sculpted him on a copper body and gilded him in genuine 24k gold.

Chenrezig epitomizes the bodhisattva's determination to delay attaining Buddhahood until he has assisted every sentient being on Earth in achieving freedom from pain and the cycle of death and rebirth. His name has been translated as "the lord who observes in all directions." The practice of Chenrezig/Avalokiteshvara is encouraged to develop a calm and compassionate heart. Compassion is the root foundation for excelling in the Buddhist path. He listens to the prayers of all sentient beings in times of challenge and difficulty.
