Seated Tibetan Shakyamuni Buddha In Lotus Statue
We made this Seated Shakyamuni Buddha In Lotus Statue at our workshop. We are a group of artists who have received training from previous generations. We portrayed him sitting on the lotus in meditation posture, with his legs crossed. His left shoulder is covered with a monk robe with exquisite decoration. A protuberance on the top of his head is a representation of his infinite understanding. His earlobes stick out. His left-hand, holding an alms bowl, is placed on his lap as a sign of concentration, and his right hand is extended down to the ground as earth-touching mudra. We have artistically designed the halo of the deity. It is composed of hand-carved design patterns and filled with valuable gemstones. We molded the figurine using a copper body gilded using genuine 24K gold.
It took us months and months of hard work and dedication to complete the figure.

Siddhartha Gautama was born as the crown prince of the mighty Shakya Kingdom and nurtured to be a king in line with his royal father's aspirations. However, when he was around 29 years old, he learned about people's tremendous pain. He abandoned his palace life and gave up his magnificent robes and gold to uncover the reasons for this anguish and the methods to alleviate it. After nearly six years of study, self-deprivation, and severe concentration, he achieved his aim. He had attained enlightenment (a Buddha). He claimed to have then proceeded to a deer park in Sarnath (Benares), India, on the outskirts of Varanasi.
