Description

Traditionally Gold-Gilded Shakyamuni Buddha Lotus Statue

The Shakyamuni Buddha Lotus Statue was expertly hand-carved by us in Nepal's traditional Himalayan style. The deity is depicted sitting cross-legged on the lotus in a meditative position, with the soles of his feet pointed skyward and his back perfectly straight. He wears a monk robe that covers his left shoulder and has a complex pattern. It took months of hard work and unwavering commitment to shaping the body using copper and 24K pure gold. This statue looks excellent since it was hand-painted with acrylic paint. The edge of the robe and petals of the lotus seat has visible gold gilding.

This statue may be used for a variety of Buddhist rituals, as well as for meditation and yoga.

Size: 11.4"/29cm (Height) x 7.8"/20cm (Base)
Weight: 2.34 kg
Material: 24K Gold Gilded, Oxidized Copper Body, Acrylic Paintings

Siddhartha Gautama was born as the crown prince of the mighty Shakya Kingdom and nurtured to be a king in line with his royal father's aspirations. However, when he was around 29 years old, he learned about people's tremendous pain. He abandoned his palace life and gave up his magnificent robes and gold to uncover the reasons for this anguish and the methods to alleviate it. After nearly six years of study, self-deprivation, and severe concentration, he achieved his aim. He had attained enlightenment (a Buddha). He claimed to have then proceeded to a deer park in Sarnath (Benares), India, on the outskirts of Varanasi.
