Traditional Himalayan Sculpture of Shakyamuni Buddha

We have traditionally hand-carved the sculpture of Shakyamuni Buddha in traditional Himalayan art of Nepal. We are the artist of Kathmandu valley whose artisan in making ancient Vajrayana statues has passed from generation to generation. We have depicted a deity seated on a top of a moon disc lotus throne with meditating expression. The exclusive halo illuminates his face as he sits, making a gesture of earth touching with his right hand while he carries an alms bowl with his left hand. You can use this art for various purposes, such as in your daily meditational or yoga activities and even on different Buddhism occasions. We have used precious materials like genuine 24k gold for gilding the statue and a pure copper body for carving it, and we also use acrylic colors for painting it. This Tibetan statue will be a great gift from Nepal to a practitioner like you.

Siddhartha Gautama was born as the crown prince of the mighty Shakya Kingdom and nurtured to be a king in line with his royal father's aspirations. However, when he was around 29 years old, he learned about people's tremendous pain in life. He abandoned his palace life and gave up his magnificent robes and gold to uncover the reasons for this anguish and the methods to alleviate it. After nearly six years of study, self-deprivation, and severe concentration, he achieved his aim. He had attained enlightenment (a Buddha). He claimed to have then proceeded to a deer park in Sarnath (Benares), India, on the outskirts of Varanasi.
