Handmade Gold Gilded Buddha Shakyamuni Sculpture Tibet
The Buddha Shakyamuni Sculpture was expertly created by Nepalese artists in the traditional manner. Handcrafted from a copper statue and gilded with genuine 24k over the body of the statue. The use of acrylic paint further highlights the intricate design patterns of the statue. Seated with a peaceful expression over a moon disc lotus while he holds an alms bowl above his lap with his left hand and his right hand slightly touches the ground making the earth touching mudra. The Kasaya robes that he wears are detailed with intricate design patterns. The statue took months of hard work to craft and to give the deity a more authentic look, the statue was further polished.

Siddhartha Gautama was born as the crown prince of the mighty Shakya Kingdom and nurtured to be a king in line with his royal father's aspirations. However, when he was around 29 years old, he learned about people's tremendous pain in life. He abandoned his palace life and gave up his magnificent robes and gold to uncover the reasons for this anguish and the methods to alleviate it. After nearly six years of study, self-deprivation, and severe concentration, he achieved his aim. He had attained enlightenment (a Buddha). He claimed to have then proceeded to a deer park in Sarnath (Benares), India, on the outskirts of Varanasi.
