Handmade Himalayan Buddhist Master Tsongkhapa Statue | Tibetan Teacher

This Himalayan Buddhist Master Tsongkhapa Handcrafted Statue, also known as Lama Tsongkhapa, measures 9.3”/23.5cm in height and 5.7”/14.5cm at the base and weighs 1.31 kg. Made of copper with 24K gold gilding and acrylic paintings, it is covered with a triple layer of 24K gold gilding and features deeply engraved carvings that produce a magnificent 3D-like effect. This sculpture is handcrafted by expert Nepalese artisans, elegantly symbolizes Himalayan Buddhism's sacred traditions, making it an appropriate addition to altars, meditation places, or sacred collections.

Tsongkhapa, the great philosopher and founder of the Gelug school, is depicted in deep meditation performing the Dharmachakra Mudra—the gesture of teaching—with both hands held at his chest. From his hands rise two lotus stalks: atop the left lotus is a flaming sword symbolizing wisdom that cuts through ignorance, while the right lotus bears the Prajñāpāramitā Sutra, representing the perfection of wisdom and the foundation of his teachings.

In Tibetan Buddhism, Tsongkhapa, also called Je Rinpoche, is a highly esteemed character who is both a spiritual leader and a brilliant scholar. He spent his entire life working on improving the Buddhist doctrine and way of life. Kelsang Gyatso, the eighth-century reincarnation of Tsongkhapa, can be seen sitting in peaceful meditation. Performing the Dharmachakra Mudra, which represents the turning of the Wheel of Dharma, he is depicted. His two chief disciples flank him, each making the Vitarka Mudra, which represents the transmission of the Buddha's teachings. Renowned for his profound teachings and emphasis on the value of ethical behavior, Tsongkhapa is a master. His teachings continue to influence numerous people, keeping his legacy alive.
