Embodying Infinite Compassion with the Chengrezig Avalokitesvara Buddhist Statue

The Chenrezig Avalokitesvara Buddhist statue measures 10.0” (25.5 cm) in height with an 8.0” (20.5 cm) base and weighs 2.56 kg. It is expertly handcrafted by skilled Nepali artisans using a copper body, richly finished with 24K gold gilding, detailed acrylic painting, and adorned with finely set gemstones. This refined craftsmanship makes the statue ideally suited for altars, meditation spaces, or sacred spiritual collections, where it serves as a serene focal point of devotion and inner reflection.

Chenrezig, also known as Avalokiteshvara, is revered as the embodiment of infinite compassion, appearing in a serene meditative form that embodies the awakened mind of compassion in action. In this sacred depiction, he is shown with four arms, symbolizing the complete integration of the four immeasurables—loving-kindness, compassion, empathetic joy, and equanimity—which form the foundation of the bodhisattva path. Two of his hands are joined gracefully at the heart in anjali mudra, gently holding the wish-fulfilling jewel, representing the deep aspiration to liberate all sentient beings from suffering and guide them toward enlightenment. The remaining two hands extend outward, holding a crystal rosary and a lotus, symbolizing the continuous cycle of compassionate activity and the purity of awakened awareness that remains unstained by worldly existence. His tranquil, radiant expression reflects a mind fully stabilized in boundless loving-kindness, free from attachment, aversion, and ignorance, while his adorned ornaments and refined celestial details express the sambhogakaya aspect, manifesting in a form accessible to devoted practitioners. Meditating upon this form of Chenrezig is believed to open the heart center, dissolve emotional afflictions, and cultivate an unshakable sense of universal compassion, guiding practitioners toward the realization of emptiness and the inseparability of wisdom and compassion on the path to awakening.

Chenrezig (Avalokiteshvara) is the patron deity of Tibet and the earthly manifestation of the self-born eternal Buddha, Amitabha. Known as the hearer of the world’s cries, he chose to postpone his own complete enlightenment until he could help every sentient being attain liberation from suffering. His mantra, Om Mani Padme Hum, remains the most widely recited prayer in the Buddhist world, embodying the union of wisdom and method.
