Avalokiteshvara, another name for Chenrezig, is highly revered in various Buddhist traditions, especially Tibetan Buddhism. He is regarded as Tibet's protector god and is seen as the personification of kindness. His association with the Dalai Lama, who is thought to be his physical incarnation, serves to further solidify his status as a figure of kindness and mercy. Practitioners repeat Chenrezig's mantra, "Om Mani Padme Hum," in order to call upon his blessings and develop compassion in their life.
