Hevajra: Embodiment of Profound Wisdom and Transformation

This powerful Hevajra Tantric Deity statue stands at an impressive height of 15.55 inches (39.5 cm) with a broad 11.22-inch (28.5 cm) base and a solid weight of 5.1 kg, giving it a strong and commanding presence. Crafted from an oxidized copper body by skilled Nepali artisans, this finely detailed sculpture reflects traditional Himalayan metalworking techniques. Its rich dark patina and balanced proportions make it an exceptional piece for altars, meditation spaces, shrines, or refined spiritual art collections.

Hevajra is shown in a dynamic dancing posture, standing on one leg with the other lifted and bent, creating a strong sense of movement and balance. The deity appears in a multi-armed form, with the arms radiating outward in layered symmetry and the hands holding ritual implements. His facial expression is fierce and intense, with wide eyes, a strong nose, and a slightly open mouth, while the hair rises upward in a dramatic, flame-like style beneath an ornate headdress with skull motifs. The body is richly adorned with layered necklaces, armlets, bracelets, anklets, and a belt of small carved heads around the waist, with ritual ornaments draped across the torso and hips. Behind the figure is a large flame-shaped aureole carved with repeating flame patterns that frames the entire composition, and the deity stands upon a decorated lotus-style base with layered petal designs, all unified by the deep oxidized copper finish that highlights the intricate carving and bold tantric presence.

Hevajra is a principal meditational deity (Yidam) of the Anuttarayoga Tantra in Vajrayana Buddhism, particularly significant within the Sakya tradition. He represents the union of wisdom (prajna) and skillful means (upaya), depicted in a wrathful yet compassionate form to conquer delusion and negative emotions. His complex iconography symbolizes the transformation of the five aggregates into the five wisdoms, guiding practitioners towards enlightenment.

Consecration Service Available
Each statue contains a sacred chamber for mantra and relic fillings to bestow spiritual empowerment. During consecration, these sacred items are placed inside and blessed through traditional rituals performed by the ordained monks. There is a fee for this service, offered as a respectful contribution to the monastery.
