Beautiful Four Armed Chenrezig Statue for Shrine
The Chenrezig statue for the shrine is made by the Kathmandu Valley artisan, who artistically embellishes it by hand. We deftly built the statue in a pure copper body and authentically gilded it with 24k gold.
The deity is represented as sitting on a moon-disc lotus seat. The deity's upper right-hand holds a crystal rosary, illustrating the never-ending cycle of life, rebirth, and death. The top left hand holds a white lotus, pointing to the deity's role in assisting humans to escape hardship and unpleasant conditions, including hellish regions. The deity's lower hand is delicately positioned in a namaste gesture, holding a wish-fulfilling jewel, and the deity's expression is serene and calm, symbolizing compassion and tranquillity.

Chenrezig epitomizes the bodhisattva's determination to delay attaining Buddhahood until he has assisted every sentient being on Earth in achieving freedom from pain and the cycle of death and rebirth. His name has been translated as "the lord who observes in all directions." The practice of Chenrezig/Avalokiteshvara encourages the development of a calm and compassionate heart. Compassion is the root foundation for excelling in the Buddhist path. He listens to the prayers of all sentient beings in times of challenge and difficulty.
