The Compassion Deity Chenrezig Sculpture is made from copper and adorned with 24K gold gilding, detailed gold and acrylic paintings, and hand-carved gemstones. Measuring 13.2”/33.5cm in height and 10.6”/27cm at the base, it weighs 3.48 kg. Chenrezig, known as Avalokiteshvara in Sanskrit, is the Bodhisattva of Compassion, embodying the infinite mercy of all Buddhas. The deity sits on a moon-disc lotus seat. A crystal rosary in the upper right hand symbolizes the never-ending cycle of life, death, and regeneration. The lotus in the upper left hand represents the deity's role in assisting mankind to overcome adversity and unpleasant conditions, including hellish realms. The lower hands are gently put in a namaste motion, grasping a wish-fulfilling Jewel. The deity's gentle and calm expression symbolizes compassion and calmness.
