Handmade in Nepal, Copper Statue of Naagkanya
This handmade copper statue of Naagkanya was created by our talented artisans in our studio in Kathmandu, Nepal. The sculpture is carved from a solid copper body and then painted with acrylics, giving it a lifelike appearance. She is depicted sitting on a crafted serpent's body, her hands forming the mudra of holding a precious gemstone. She has wings, which symbolize her ability to travel between worlds and her connection to the air element.
In her iconography, Naagkanya is depicted in a striking half-human, half-serpent form. She holds a conch in both hands, symbolizing sacred sound and divine authority. Behind her head rise multiple serpents, representing her naga lineage and her connection to the underworld, as well as her protection. Her wings add a celestial dimension, emphasizing her role as a powerful guardian spirit in Hindu and Buddhist mythology.

Naga Kanya, the Nāga Maiden, is a figure that blends the elemental with the divine, a guardian of treasures and a harbinger of fertility. In Hindu and Buddhist mythologies, she embodies the hidden powers of the nāgas, the serpentine spirits believed to live in watery depths and subterranean realms. Revered as a bringer of prosperity and a keeper of ancient secrets, Nāga Kanya represents the mysterious energies that weave through both land and sea, a bridge between the seen and unseen worlds.
