Description

Statue of Dharma Buddha Green Tara | A Devotion to the Emerald Goddess

Dharma Buddha Green Tara stands at a height of 39.4 inches (100 cm) with a base measuring 32.7 inches (83 cm), and weighs approximately 57.88 kilograms. Crafted from copper, covered with a triple layer of 24K gold gilding, and carved with deeply engraved carvings that produce a magnificent 3D-like effect. This sculpture, adorned with hand-carved gemstones, handcrafted by expert Nepalese artisans, elegantly symbolizes Himalayan Buddhism's sacred traditions, making it an appropriate addition to altars, meditation places, or sacred collections.

Green Tara is shown seated in the lalitāsana or posture of royal ease: her left leg is folded in meditation, while her right leg is extended and rests on a small lotus, indicating her readiness to step down and help sentient beings. Her right hand reaches downward over her knee in the gesture of generosity (varada mudra), symbolizing her granting of boons and blessings. Green Tara is richly adorned with a jeweled crown, necklaces, earrings, and flowing silk garments, signifying her enlightened and royal status—the utpala lotus in both hands representing her purity and her vow to help all beings.

She is associated with the Buddha family of Amogasiddhi, which emphasizes action and accomplishment, and her mantra "Om Tare Tuttare Ture Soha" is widely recited for blessings and swift aid.
