Vajradhara is a central figure in Vajrayana Buddhism, regarded as the primordial Buddha (Adi-Buddha) and the embodiment of the ultimate, unchanging reality. Vajradhara is especially significant in Tibetan Buddhism, where he is considered the source of all tantric lineages. Advanced meditation practices and initiations (tantras) are often traced back to Vajradhara, making him a central figure in Vajrayana teachings.
