Shakyamuni Buddha, once Prince Siddhartha of the Shakya clan, left behind his royal comforts to seek a deeper truth beyond worldly joys and sorrows. Through intense meditation and ascetic practice beneath the Bodhi tree, he attained enlightenment and became the Buddha—the Awakened One. Devoted to sharing the path to liberation, he taught the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path. Shakyamuni symbolizes the awakening potential within everyone, embodying wisdom that conquers ignorance and brings serene detachment. His figure serves as an enduring emblem of inner transformation, compassion, and mindful awareness.
