Guru Rinpoche, also known as Padmasambhava, is depicted in a regal and meditative posture. He holds a Vajra (symbolizing power and compassion) in his right hand and holds a skull cup containing a vase filled with the nectar of longevity and wisdom in his left hand. The khatvanga, a trident ornamented with symbolic components reflecting his tantric attainment and the union of wisdom and compassion, rests on his left shoulder. This portrayal highlights his role as a protector, teacher, and enlightened being in Vajrayana Buddhism.
