Four-Armed Chenrezig, also known as Avalokiteshvara, the Bodhisattva of Infinite Compassion, represents the boundless love, kindness, and compassionate activity of all Buddhas. His four arms symbolize his limitless ability to reach out and assist all sentient beings suffering throughout existence. His two primary hands are joined at his heart, holding the wish-fulfilling jewel (Cintamani), representing his pure aspiration to relieve suffering and guide beings toward enlightenment. His upper right hand holds a crystal mala, symbolizing continuous prayer, mindfulness, and the accumulation of merit, while his upper left hand holds an utpala lotus, representing purity, spiritual awakening, and liberation from suffering.
