Four Armed Chenrezig Sacred Statue | Buddhist Figurine of Compassion & Wisdom
Four Armed Chenrezig Sacred Statue measures 9.8”/25cm in height with an 8.5”/21.5cm base and weighs 2.18 kg. Handcrafted in Nepal by skilled artisans, it features a copper body enhanced with gold and acrylic painting, along with carefully placed gemstones. The detailed surface work highlights the four arms, traditional ornaments, jewelry, garments, and lotus pedestal, while the gold detailing adds definition to the sculpted forms. Carefully applied acrylic painting brings color and character to the facial features and decorative elements, complemented by gemstone embellishments that enrich the overall composition. The combination of traditional copper craftsmanship, detailed carving, painting, and gemstone work reflects the precision and dedication of Nepalese artisans.
Chenrezig is traditionally depicted with four arms, representing the expansive nature of compassion. The two principal hands are joined at the heart in anjali mudra, holding a wish-fulfilling jewel, while the upper right hand holds a mala and the upper left carries a lotus. His peaceful white complexion, serene expression, five-jeweled crown, necklaces, bracelets, and flowing garments reflect his compassionate Bodhisattva form. The lotus symbolizes purity, the jewel represents the precious awakened mind, and the mala signifies continuous practice and recitation. Together, these elements express the aspiration to relieve the suffering of all sentient beings and cultivate boundless compassion.

Chenrezig, known in Sanskrit as Avalokiteshvara, is the earthly manifestation of the self-born eternal Buddha Amitabha. As the Bodhisattva of Compassion, he is believed to hear the cries of all sentient beings and work tirelessly for their benefit. In his four-armed form, he embodies the "Four Immeasurables": loving-kindness, compassion, empathetic joy, and equanimity, serving as the patron deity of Tibet and a central figure in Mahayana practice.
