Traditionally Hand Carved Four Armed Chenrezig Bodhisattva Statue

The four armed Chenrezig statue is an intricately handcrafted piece produced in our studio and designed with unique Nepali motifs. The copper body of the statue is gold gilded, which provides the statue with its luster and brilliance. The Bodhisattva has four arms and is seated on a moon disc lotus seat. The second pair each holds an object like the crystal rosary on his left and an Utpala flower on his right, while the first pair are brought together in front of the chest to form the "Namaskara Mudra."

His name has been translated as "the lord who observes in all directions." The practice of Chenrezig/Avalokiteshvara is encouraged to develop of a calm and compassionate heart. Compassion is the root foundation for excelling in the Buddhist path. He listens to the prayers of all sentient beings in times of challenge and difficulty.
