Gampopa (1079–1153 CE), also known as Dakpo Lhaje, was a pivotal Tibetan Buddhist master. His teachings are foundational to the Kagyu school, emphasising both monastic discipline and meditative realisation, and have profoundly influenced the development of Tibetan Buddhism.
