Description

Gautama Buddha 24K Gold Gilded Sculpture: An Embodiment of Enlightened Peace

This Gautama Buddha 24K Gold Gilded Sculpture reaches 16.1 inches (41 cm) in height, rests on a 12.8-inch (32.5 cm) base, and weighs 6.75 kg. Skilled Nepali artisans have shaped the figure from copper and covered its surface with radiant 24K gold gilding. Carefully applied acrylic painting adds definition to the facial features, monastic robes, and selected details across the pedestal. The broad base and substantial weight give the sculpture a commanding yet peaceful presence, making it an elegant centerpiece for a Buddhist altar, meditation room, shrine space, or collection of Himalayan sacred art.

Gautama Buddha is portrayed seated in the stable vajra posture upon a finely sculpted lotus pedestal. His right hand reaches toward the earth in the Bhumisparsha Mudra, recalling the moment the earth witnessed his enlightenment beneath the Bodhi tree. His left hand rests calmly in his lap in the gesture of meditation while supporting an alms bowl, reflecting renunciation and disciplined spiritual practice. The ushnisha, elongated earlobes, gently lowered eyes, and composed expression communicate profound concentration and awakened wisdom. His tranquil form offers a meaningful reminder of the Buddha’s teachings on ethical conduct, meditation, insight, and liberation from suffering.

Siddhartha Gautama, known as Gautama Buddha, was a spiritual teacher in ancient India on whose teachings Buddhism was founded. Born a prince in Lumbini (modern-day Nepal), he renounced worldly life to seek enlightenment. After years of spiritual practice, he attained nirvana under the Bodhi tree, teaching a path of liberation from suffering to countless disciples. His teachings emphasize compassion, wisdom, and the Middle Way.
