Embodying Ultimate Protection and Grace with the Goddess Dukkar Statue

Rising in sublime, multi-armed majesty, this goddess dukkar statue serves as a radiant beacon of spiritual defense and profound compassion. Handcrafted in Nepal by master artisans of the Kathmandu Valley, this magnificent piece features a robust copper core lavishly accented with precious silver plating and pure gold. Every contour of her myriad hands and protective implements showcases the heights of Himalayan craftsmanship, making it a stellar addition to any sacred collection.

Sitatapatra (Dukkar) is a powerful wrathful–peaceful manifestation of ultimate protection, most distinctly identified by the white umbrella (sankha or parasol) that she holds or that crowns her, symbolizing her ability to shield all beings from harm, illness, negative forces, and spiritual obstacles. She is often depicted with a serene central face surrounded by multiple faces of varying expressions—peaceful, semi-wrathful, and wrathful—representing her all-encompassing awareness and her capacity to pacify, enrich, magnetize, and destroy obstructive energies. In many forms, she appears with a thousand arms and a thousand eyes, each hand extending outward in compassionate activity to protect sentient beings in every direction. Her iconography typically includes a seated lotus posture above a sun and moon disc, emphasizing purity and enlightened stability beyond duality. Adorned with a crown, celestial ornaments, and flowing silks, Dukkar embodies both royal dignity and fierce compassion, standing as one of the most powerful protective deities in Vajrayana Buddhism.

Goddess Dukkar, also known as Sitatapatra or the Usnisa Sitatapatra, is a highly revered female deity in the Vajrayana Buddhist tradition. Arising from the ushnisha (crown protuberance) of Shakyamuni Buddha, she personifies the power of the white parasol, which shields all sentient beings from suffering, natural disasters, and spiritual harms. Characterized by her white complexion, multiple heads, and thousand arms, she represents the non-dual realization of wisdom and active, boundless defense against all inner and outer delusions.
