Cakravarticintamaṇi Avalokitesvara is an esoteric form of the bodhisattva of compassion, Avalokitesvara, who is often depicted with a wish-fulfilling gem (cintamai). This particular cult, also known as Cintamaṇicakra, was transmitted across cultures along the maritime Silk Routes and is associated with kingship and state protection. It is known by different names in other languages, such as Ruyilun Guanyin in Chinese and Nyoirin Kannon in Japanese.
