This Golden Statue of Standing Lokeshwor, known as the "Lord of the World," measures 22.2”/56.5cm in height and 13.8”/35cm at the base, with a weight of 11.76 kg. Expertly handcrafted by skilled artisans, it features copper, covered with a triple layer of 24K gold gilding, and carved with deeply engraved carvings that produce a magnificent 3D-like effect. Lokeshwor, also known as Avalokiteśvara, is revered in Buddhist tradition as the embodiment of infinite compassion. His name means "Lord of the World," highlighting his commitment to relieving the suffering of all beings. Worshipped across many Buddhist cultures, Lokeshwar is seen as a gentle protector and a guide on the path to enlightenment. In his iconography, he stands gracefully on a beautifully detailed, tiered pedestal decorated with fine carvings and small elephant figures, symbolizing strength and stability. Lokeshwor is richly adorned with jewelry, including necklaces, armlets, and bracelets, all set with colorful gemstones that enhance his divine appearance. His hair is styled high, colored black, and crowned with a jeweled ornament. An ushnisha, a symbol of supreme wisdom, rises from the top of his head. In one of his hands, he holds a lotus flower, upon which rests the sacred Prajnaparamita scripture. From this scripture, a sword emerges, shaped like a trident.
