The exquisite Compassionate Green Tara goddess sculpture was expertly made by hand using age-old techniques to capture the sacred deity in its accurate iconographic form. Another name for Tara is the goddess of Compassion. The figure was craved using a copper body and gilded with 24 genuine gold. The use of acrylic paint further highlights the intricate design patterns fo the statue. The deity is seen sitting over a moon disc lotus with a serene look. Her left hand is shown making the Prithvi Mudra, which represents the union of wisdom and compassion, and her right hand is shown making the gesture of offering shelter. The body ornaments and crown are exclusively carved with exclusive patterns which are found in the valley of Kathmandu as it took months of hard work to craft.
