Green Tara is a revered female Buddha in Tibetan Buddhism, known as the “Mother of all Buddhas” and the embodiment of active compassion and enlightened action. According to tradition, she arose from the compassionate tears of Avalokiteshvara (Chenrezig) and vowed to assist all sentient beings in overcoming suffering and obstacles. Often called the “Swift One,” she is associated with protection, fearlessness, and the ability to respond quickly to those in need, guiding practitioners toward liberation and awakening.
