Tibetan Protector: Green Tara Statue | Symbol of Compassion and Liberation
Handcrafted in Nepal, this magnificent Green Tara Statue reflects the exceptional artistry and traditional craftsmanship of Himalayan artisans. Standing 99 cm (38.98 inches) tall with a 75 cm (29.5 inches) base and weighing 49.42 kg, it is carefully crafted from a copper body and adorned with a triple layer of 24K gold gilding, deeply engraved carvings that produce a magnificent 3D-like effect, detailed acrylic painting, and hand-carved gemstones. The radiant gold details, intricate surface work, gemstone embellishments, and carefully applied painted elements showcase the precision, patience, and dedication of skilled Nepalese artisans.
Green Tara is portrayed seated gracefully upon a beautifully crafted double-lotus pedestal in the traditional lalitasana posture, with her right leg gently extended, symbolizing her poised and elegant appearance. Her right hand reaches downward over the knee in the Varada Mudra, while her left hand is raised near her heart in the Vitarka Mudra, delicately holding the stem of a blooming utpala lotus. Matching lotus blossoms rise on either side of her shoulders with finely sculpted stems and leaves, framing the deity in a harmonious composition. Her serene face is adorned with softly lowered eyes, a gentle smile, elongated earlobes, and delicately painted facial features. She wears an elaborate five-jeweled crown embellished with hand-carved gemstone settings, while flowing locks of hair fall gracefully behind her shoulders. Rich necklaces, earrings, armlets, bracelets, anklets, and an ornate jeweled girdle decorate her body, complemented by elegantly engraved garments and flowing celestial scarves that curl outward beside the lotus Base.
