Description

Guhyasamaja Tantric Buddha Statue: Embodiment of Profound Wisdom

This Guhyasamaja Tantric Buddha Statue is an elaborate representation of one of the principal meditational deities of Vajrayana Buddhism. Measuring 13.8 inches (35 cm) in height with a 10.6-inch (27 cm) base and weighing 6.68 kg, it has a substantial and commanding presence. The sculpture is meticulously handcrafted by skilled Nepali artisans from a copper body, finished with radiant 24K gold gilding, and enhanced with detailed acrylic painting. Its complex arrangement of faces, arms, ritual implements, garments, and ornaments demonstrates the precision required to create such an intricate tantric form. It is suitable for a Buddhist altar, meditation space, Dharma center, or specialized collection of Himalayan art.

Guhyasamaja is depicted in union with his consort, with both figures having three faces and six arms. Their principal hands embrace one another while holding the vajra and bell crossed near the heart. His remaining right hands carry a Dharma wheel and lotus, while the left hands hold a jewel and sword. The three faces and carefully arranged arms present the complete attributes without disturbing the symmetry of the composition. Both figures wear elaborate crowns and ornaments and are seated together in the vajra posture upon a lotus pedestal. Their embrace represents the inseparable union of method and wisdom, while the ritual implements collectively express the enlightened qualities of the Buddha families.
