The Guru Padmasambhava Lotus Born Statue, measuring 15.0-inch (38 cm) tall and 9.4-inch (24 cm) wide, is made of copper, covered with a triple layer of 24K gold gilding and carved with deeply engraved carvings that produce a magnificent 3D-like effect. Guru Rinpoche, also known as Padmasambhava, is depicted in a regal and meditative posture. He holds a Vajra (symbolizing power and compassion) in his right hand and holds a skull cup containing a vase filled with the nectar of longevity and wisdom in his left hand. The khatvanga, a trident ornamented with symbolic components reflecting his tantric attainment and the union of wisdom and compassion, rests on his left shoulder. This portrayal highlights his role as a protector, teacher, and enlightened being in Vajrayana Buddhism.
