Guru Rinpoche Copper Statue | Master of Wisdom, Compassion, and Sacred Teachings

Guru Rinpoche Copper Statue measures 16.5”/42cm in height with a 9.6”/24.5cm base and weighs 4.58 kg. Handcrafted in Nepal by skilled artisans, it features a copper body enhanced with 24K gold gilding, acrylic painting, and carefully set gemstones. The radiant gilded surface highlights the sculpted form, while the refined acrylic painting adds color and definition to the facial features, robes, ornaments, and decorative details. The gemstone embellishments further enrich the surface, creating a balanced combination of gold, color, and texture that reflects the precision and dedication of traditional Nepalese metal craftsmanship.

Guru Rinpoche, also known as Padmasambhava, is revered as a foundational master of Vajrayana Buddhism and is traditionally depicted in a seated royal posture with a calm yet powerful expression. He wears the distinctive lotus hat with its three upward points, symbolizing his connection with the three kayas. His right hand holds a vajra at the heart, representing indestructible awakened wisdom, while his left hand supports a skull cup containing the vase of longevity, symbolizing wisdom and the transformation of obstacles. A khatvanga staff rests against his left shoulder, representing his tantric accomplishment and association with enlightened feminine wisdom. His richly adorned robes, jewelry, and ornaments emphasize his royal appearance, while his serene yet commanding presence reflects his role as a master of Vajrayana teachings and protector of the Dharma.

Guru Rinpoche, or Padmasambhava, is the historical and legendary figure who brought the Buddhist teachings from India to Tibet in the 8th century. Revered as the "Second Buddha," he is credited with subduing local spirits and transforming them into dharma protectors, establishing the first monastery at Samye. His teachings emphasize the direct realization of the mind's true nature, and he is invoked by practitioners to clear path obstructions and grant swift realizations through the power of his mantra and indestructible wisdom.
