Guru Tsokye Dorje Buddhist Figurine: Embodiment of Sacred Wisdom

This handcrafted Guru Tsokye Dorje statue measures 15.55 inches (39.5 cm) in height with a 9.8-inch (25 cm) base and weighs 4.16 kg. Skillfully created by experienced Nepali artisans, the sculpture features a copper body adorned with 24K gold gilding, detailed acrylic painting, and hand-set gemstones. Richly finished with traditional Himalayan craftsmanship, this sacred sculpture is an excellent addition to Buddhist altars, meditation spaces, temples, or spiritual art collections.

Guru Tsokye Dorje is depicted seated in a composed cross-legged posture upon an ornate lotus pedestal with finely sculpted lotus petals and decorative borders. His right hand is raised before his chest in a teaching gesture while holding a vajra, and his left hand rests in his lap supporting a skull cup filled with a long-life vase. Resting against his left shoulder is the beautifully detailed khatvanga staff, adorned with symbolic ornaments, ribbons, and a three-pronged finial. His serene face is characterized by gently arched brows, focused eyes, a neatly defined mustache and beard, elongated earlobes, and delicately painted lips. He wears the traditional lotus hat decorated with turquoise-colored panels, gold embellishments, and a prominent vajra crest rising from the crown. Flowing robes in rich shades of turquoise, maroon, and gold are engraved with intricate floral and brocade patterns, while layered necklaces, earrings, and gemstone ornaments further enrich his appearance. The broad shoulders are draped with elegant monastic shawls, and the harmonious blend of brilliant gold gilding, colorful acrylic painting, and gemstone accents highlights the remarkable precision of traditional Nepali metal artistry.

Guru Tsokye Dorje is a powerful manifestation of Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava), revered as the 'Lake-born Vajra.' He represents the enlightened activity that subdues negative forces and removes obstacles, offering protection and guidance on the spiritual path. His iconography symbolizes the transformation of defilements into wisdom and compassion, a central tenet in Vajrayana Buddhism.
