Hand-Carved Amitayus Sculpture | Sacred Buddha of Longevity and Immortality

This Hand-Carved Amitayus Sculpture measures 12.2”/31cm in height with a 7.8”/20cm base and weighs 2.78 kg. Handcrafted in Nepal from a copper body, the sculpture is enhanced with gold and acrylic painting, silver-plated accents, and carefully placed gemstones that add contrast, color, and refined decorative depth to the surface. The precise carving, balanced proportions, and detailed hand-finishing reflect the skill of Nepalese artisans and the enduring traditions of Himalayan Buddhist craftsmanship. Spiritually, the figure is associated with longevity, vitality, wisdom, merit, and the preservation of favorable conditions for continued spiritual practice.

This serene form embodies longevity, vitality, wisdom, and the accumulation of positive life force. Seated gracefully in the full lotus posture upon a lotus throne, the figure displays a peaceful expression and meditative composure, representing stability and profound contemplation. Both hands rest together in Dhyana Mudra in the lap, supporting the long-life vase (amrita kalasha), which contains the nectar of immortality and symbolizes the preservation and extension of life. The youthful appearance, elongated earlobes, and calm gaze express awakened awareness, while the elaborate jeweled crown, earrings, necklaces, armlets, bracelets, waist ornaments, and celestial garments reflect the bodhisattva aspect of this manifestation. The lotus throne represents purity and spiritual awakening, while the sacred vase at the center emphasizes the aspiration for long life, good fortune, spiritual merit, and the conditions necessary for continued Dharma practice.
